TRINITY RIVER – US HIGHWAY 59 to FM 767

 

WHEN:

Saturday, October 14, 2017, 9:30 AM until 6:00 PM

 

WHERE:

MEET AT HWY 787 (near Romayor) to arrange shuttle

 

 

SHORT DESCRIPTION:

21 miles of wide, clear, moving water – fairly exposed (not much shade).  Bring sunscreen or plan to cover up.

Skill Level:  Beginner:  Familiarity with basic strokes and can make the boat go straight on flat water typically experienced on Armand Bayou. You can maneuver the boat on slowly moving water, possess an awareness of basic river safety and can confidently avoid hazards and strainers frequently experienced on Texas' Colorado River or the Buffalo Bayou at a modest flow rate.
