12+ miles of meandering, urban bayou – lots of beautiful, mostly green scenery,
along with some back yards. Expect it to be sunny, hot and humid, and come
prepared to minimize interaction with some of the local wildlife (mosquitoes).

Skill Level: Beginner: Familiarity with basic strokes and can make the boat go
straight on flat water typically experienced on Armand Bayou. You can maneuver the
boat on slowly moving water, possess an awareness of basic river safety and can
confidently avoid hazards and strainers frequently experienced on Texas' Colorado
River or the Buffalo Bayou at a modest flow rate.

Non-HCC or ACA members subject to a $5 fee. You need to have a current waiver on file, or download and print from website and bring signed copy with you to putin. You must wear your PFD (lifejacket).
