What is this?
This will be an easy out and back trip from Bay Area Park, likely mileage around 8 on flatwater.
To reach Bay Area Park, 7500 Bay Area Boulevard, Houston, exit the Gulf Freeway (IH45) south of Houston at Bay Area Boulevard (Exit 26) and proceed approximately 7 miles East. You will cross the bayou, pass up the first gate (one way outbound), go right at the second one, back the direction you just came to the water.
Bring a lunch/snack which we may eat in the boats or back at the park afterward.
Houston Canoe Club events require a current signed waiver for all
HCC
members. American Canoe Association members who are not
HCC
members are welcome to join us so long as they are card-carrying members of ACA and sign a waiver. Non-
HCC
and non-ACA members will be required to sign a waiver and pay a $5 fee to cover insurance for the event
