What is this?
A short session on a convenient (to me) lake to practice moving my canoe around - getting a feel for edging, "C" vs "J" strokes, bow rudders, draws, sculls and pries.
This is not a "main" event - I'm just letting you know that I will be on the water, in case you have nothing better to do at the same time and would like to share the water with me. I'm keeping it short because it's going to be hot. Bring water, a boat, a PFD, a paddle, a hat and sunglasses for maximum enjoyment.
I'll be the one with the orange "Nitro" whitewater canoe, driving a white Silverado truck. I'll be parked as close as I can get to the canoe/kayak launch near the restrooms at the end of the drive. It may be pretty busy.
