Join us for a slow paced paddle through the Champion Lake area. this is part of the Trinity River National Wildlife Refuge. It features a large cypress swamp and much needed shade, but do bring plenty of drinking water and sun protection. Distance paddled less than 7 miles and we hope to be back to the putin location at the fishing pier by 1 pm.

The usual Houston Canoe Club rules apply, must wear your PFD, and have up to date waiver on file or print one and bring it. If you are not a current ACA member you will have to also pay a $5 ACA insurance fee. Please bring your ACA card with you if we don't have your ACA number on file.

You might want an on-the-water or after paddle snack. There is no vending in this area, but thankfully a new flush toilet facility has been installed at the top of the hill. Yeah!
