Colorado Canyon to Santa Elena Canyon
THIS EVENT HAS ALREADY FILLED UP. HOWEVER, LIFE HAPPENS AND THERE IS A GOOD CHANCE THAT SOME MAY HAVE TO DROP OUT. IF YOU WANT TO BE ADDED TO THE WAIT LIST, PLEASE SEND ME AN EMAIL AND I WILL ADD YOU IN THE ORDER YOUR EMAIL ARRIVES.
This is a very interesting part of the Rio Bravo / Rio Grande running through Colorado Canyon and Madera Canyon, and then some open desert. We finish up with Santa Elena Canyon, which is breathtakingly spectacular. I am still working with Outfitters to find the best shuttle fit. Please note that this trip may change parameters a few times as more is learned about the alternatives.
Please be sure you are capable to run this trip (think about it before registering). It involves 5 straight days of self-sustained progressive camping through 40+ miles in unpredictable weather with up to Class 3 rapids - about 20 miles of it in an inaccessible area. This translates to 7-8 days away from home and 5 days off of work. It will cost about $50 per person for shuttles, plus accommodations, gasoline, State Park and National Park entrance fees, camping fees, permits, meals on the road, etc.
Much more information will be provided in September to those who register or become part of the standby group.

Friday, October 4, 2019, 8:00 AM until Thursday, October 10, 2019, 5:00 PM
