Concert Series 1: Parrot Head Social On The Water

It's gonna be HOT!
Actual temperatures 92degF dropping all the way to 82degF from 6-10 PM
"Feels Like" temperature 99degF decreasing to 89degF
Wind at 5-6 MPH from the SSE during our paddling time from 6-8PM
Cloud coverage from 50% declining to 30% from 6-8PM
No credible threat of precipitation (1% increasing to 3%) from 6-10PM
Humidity 51% increasing to 73% from 6-10PM

Suggestions based on above conditions:
Bring cold water, cold refreshments, and a cold dinner
Bring a towel or cooling bandana you can dip in the water to refresh yourself

I will be attending a funeral that starts at 2:00PM, and will hopefully still be able to make it on time, but if not, please get on the water with Harmon as designated associate trip coordinator, go out the channel and turn right as the lake opens up, continuing counter-clockwise, and I will catch up with you when I can.

Jimmy Buffet and the Coral Reefer Band Concert at the Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion in The Woodlands.

Arrive at 6:15 PM and park as close as possible to Riva Row in the Green parking lot. Plan is to get on the water as fast as possible and paddle around Lake Woodlands for an hour+ (3-4 flatwater miles), and then be in place for the 8:00 start of the concert.

NOTE: a meetup group (Kayaking in Houston) is scheduled to arrive at the same spot around 6:30, so don't get confused.

Please make sure I know you are there for mileage credit (say "Hi" to me)
If you don't have a current waiver on file, fill one out and bring it with you to give me
If you are not a current ACA member, please bring the $5 event fee
