Armand Bayou Nature Center
For a fee, the Nature Center sponsors canoe trips on Armand Bayou, and also pontoon boat tours. They are located in Pasadena.

Bayou Preservation Association
With offices very near Buffalo Bayou in downtown Houston, BPA offers pontoon boat and canoe and kayak tours of area bayous, Buffalo Bayou in particular.

San Marcos River Retreat

Caribbean Breeze Boat Rental

Located in Galveston, this outfitter rents all the equipment needed: paddles, life vests, etc. Some kayaks are rigged for fishing and fishing equipment is available for a nominal charge.

This outdoor supply company sells and rents canoes and kayaks, and sponsors programs about paddling, paddle places, and "try out" days when you can actually paddle their line of boats on the water. Whitewater Experience
Despite the name, they rent equipment and do plenty of training and trips on flatwater in the Houston area. They offer classes, rentals, and trips both near and far.
