Are you looking to get out of the house, do something different? Here is an invitation from our paddling brothers and sisters with PACK, the local kayak fishing club.
...you all have been helpful getting our friends and neighbors back on their feet after the flood. Perhaps you're having to deal with it in your own home. We are fortunate invite and host speakers that design fishing lures, kayak fish in the open Gulf, or guide folks to sweet fishing spots as well as cover a variety of topics. So, if the time is right to renew your spirit of kayak fishing in our local bays, the speaker at our September meeting will have something valuable to share. Join us for BBQ at Goode Co. on the Katy freeway by Carter's Country (5pm to 6:20) and then our meeting at the Trini Mendenhall Community Center, 1414 Wirt at 6:30 to welcome our guest Paula Paciorek, the water resource manager with the Galveston Bay Foundation.
Paula joined GBH in October 2015. Paula also works through the Texas Living Waters Project to increase public awareness of the importance of freshwater inflows to the health of Galveston Bay especially after Hurricane Harvey. Hope to see you then. As always, there's time for "Show 'n Tell", sell kayak, camping or fishing gear, and course Fishing Stories! Chris Arceneaux

I believe that the date for the September meeting of PACK will be Tuesday September 19. Chris, please correct me if that isn't right.
