Anyone wishing to participate in the Trash Bash might also consider joining the clean-up of Kuhlman Gully, off South Wayside in S.E. Houston. The coordinator is Amy Dinn, <acdinn@gmail.com>. HCC members have helped out at this site in the past. There is plenty of urban trash. It goes straight into Braes Bayou, and then into the bay.

I posted an event to the HCC Calendar, for the March 28 Armand Bayou Trash Bash. Register through HCC event calendar.
Galveston Bay Foundation will host a Rivers, Lakes, Bays n’ Bayous Trash Bash site at the Bay Area Park meetup location on March 28 from 8:30am – 1pm. Lunch, T-shirt, Trash Bags, and Gloves provided. Water Bottles are NOT PROVIDED, water will be provided. Bring reusable water bottle. The club will sign up as a group. Each person will need to sign Trash Bash Waiver.
