Ann, your map is correct. HASK had its picnic there in April and it worked great. Parking is convenient, the put-in is good (small step down into the water and a pretty firm bottom) and the Marriott was terrific. One small suggestion to avoid a mistake I think we made: As the day went on , we gradually and inadvertently encroached on the walking/running/biking trail. To avoid creating displeasure among users of the trail, I'd suggest being careful to keep chairs, tables, etc. on the grassy areas and not impede the trail. If I'm not too worn out after HASK's Pelican Island paddle that day, we'll see you there.

I checked out the site for the HCC Summer Picnic event and it looks great! Easy grassy or concrete bulkhead put-in.
However, the map previously posted had the wrong area circled. I think this map is more accurate. Looking forward to this; hope we have a nice turnout!
