Armand Bayou and mouth of San Bernard
Author Last Post
I went on Armand Bayou with HASK on Sunday June 2. The trip leader was at first reluctant to have me along because I did not have air bags in my Rob Roy rec kayak. I ordered air bags tonight for it tonight from REI since it would be good to have them. I took the Rob Roy instead of my  Seda Glider sea kayak because the day would be hot and I would have to get the Glider down from the garage rafters . Everyone else was in sea kayaks. We paddled 3 1/2 miles upstream of Bay Area Park and then returned to it. We saw a big alligator in the water. I felt tired from the heat at the end even though I drank plenty of water.

I will be going to San Bernard mouth next Saturday on a Brazoria County Parks Department trip, It will be nice to go to an uncrowded beach. This beach can only be reached by boat. I have been on the same trip 2 months ago.
