Good afternoon,
I was interested in hiking in the Devils River State Natural area. My question is: do you need a special vehicle to get down the 20+/- mile gravel road that leads to the parking area? I have a Honda Civic - not sure if it will make it. Also is it advisable to hike alone? Doing so obviously makes you more prone to mountain lions and black bear encounters. Thanks, Dean.
