HASK's bi-monthly meeting this Thursday September 20 has a speaker of general interest to Houston's paddling community. Trudi Smith and others will discuss BBP's early vision for development of Buffalo Bayou east of downtown.

"Buffalo Bayou Partnership is Moving East and Moving Forward. The Partnership wants to hear the community's priorities as it develops the five-mile stretch of the bayou from US 59 to the Port of Houston Turning Basin. How do you want BBP and its partners to invest their time and resources – in parks, in trails, in affordable housing? How important are sites for recreation, festivals, community gardens? This is YOUR opportunity to let BBP know which features and activities you value the most. Ann Olson, president of the BBP will show us concepts and discuss recent real estate acquisitions on the East End, particularly Turkey Bend."
