Author Last Post
We are in for a truly excellent program at this month's meeting! Hope you can join us. Here's more info:

When: August 8, 2018, 7:00 pm
Where: Bayland Community Center, 6400 Bissonnet, Houston, Texas
Directions: North side of Bissonnet, first driveway just west of Hillcroft.
First building entrance on the left past the football field.
See the maps below for more details.
Speaker: Louis Aulbach
Description:

We have a great presentation for August and hope to see you there. Louis Aulbach will be doing a presentation on expedition paddling in the Big Bend. Aulbach states: "The Rio Grande offers excellent opportunities for expedition paddling and the best sections to paddle are in the Wild and Scenic River around the Big Bend National Park. Some sections of the river require basic novice skills while other sections are more challenging and require skills for Class III water. This presentation will highlight a section of the Rio Grande that I consider an excellent paddle for those who are looking for the so called 'first step' into wilderness expedition paddling - The Great Unknown of the Rio Grande."

If you can, let's meet for dinner beforehand,
at Thai Cottage, 5206 Bissonnet St, Bellaire 77401 at 5:30 PM. http://www.thai-cottage.com/locations/ Thai Cottage is one of our favorite places - the food is terrific and wel-priced. They serve alcohol. Bayland Park is a short drive away. If you can join us, there'll be plenty of time to meet others, socialize, and have a great meal before our monthly meeting.

Call me at 713 447 6197 with any questions. Hope to see you next Wednesday!
