Paul Comstock |
Paul Comstock, a long-time HASK member, will present a fascinating program on paddling Lake Champlain, as he retraces Benedict Arnold's Navy from Whitehall where it was formed, as well as the ships built for its first battle against the British at Valcour Island.
This presentation will include numerous slides. In the past, he has paddled all of the Champlain, Seneca, Oswego and Erie Canals and the Hudson River, covering nearly 600 miles. The picture of Paul (top) was taken on a break he took on his first day paddle of the upper part of Lake Champlain."It was in May. Cold and raining. My kind of paddle day!"
