Author Last Post
We have two spots left, we'd love to have you. So here it is. Its the subtle transition from Spring to Summer, the birds are out, the fish are jumping and you're home all alone with nothing to do. Its all Level 1 (light Level 2 canoe or kayak paddling). This trip is perfect for you.

So call one of your paddling friends, but the double set of saddles on the car and join us. It's $70 a person for 3 Days and 2 Nights. A 3rd night is optional for $23 each. Trip Link: [ https://tinyurl.com/yaulbw3c ]

You will see eagles, baby alligators, and crazy wildlife (that's the locals).  Share in a wild-caught crawfish boil from purging to peeling, and participate in creole / cajun cooking adventures. Dancing Friday night at Rythms on the.River* - Jamie Bergeron & The Kickin’ Cajuns will be on stage,  Front St - Morgan City*

Your choice of a top bunk in a room shared with 2 other people or bring a cot. You can chose from Cabin 4 or 5. Its our 3rd trip to the area, we're all friends!! Don't be a coo-yon no!  Les bon temp rouler!

I so enjoyed the company of fellow Houston Canoe Club members at previous HASK kayaking forays to Stephensville, LA.  We went in 2014 and '15. This year I booked 3 cabins on Lake Palourde at Lake End Park, Morgan City, LA. There are six openings. The beds are:  One full-size bed (OK for a couple, but in the same room with a bunk bed), 2 bottom bunks, and 3 top bunks.  If a top bunk is not to you liking you are welcome to bring a cot. Travel time from Houston, about 6 hours

We'll paddle the cypress-lined Four-Mile, Felix and Milhomme Bayous.  Venture into Simmons Pass and Lake Verrett.  This area is ground-zero for highest concentration of bald eagles in Louisiana. There are countless other birds to put on your list.  And like in year's past, we'll focus on Cajun and Creole cooking, demonstrating the prep and background of our dining fare.  I plan to boil crawfish one night.  Click on the link below for more information.  Extended stays are being considered, 3 days are just not enough!
