Christmas Day on Buffalo Bayou
Author Last Post
Would anyone out there still like to take a quick paddle on Christmas Day?  Anyone know if the access point from the former Spaghetti Warehouse lot still available?  If the answer to both questions is "yes", I'd be willing to give it a go;  out and back "just because".  And I'll "award" paddling miles too.  Let me know and I'll get it on the official calendar quick-like.  Not sure if Armand Bayou/Bay Area Park is open that day but that could be an alternate location.

Well, the weather forecast for Christmas day shows little chance of rain, but it's still going to be seriously chilly. Since we'd likely have to get wet negotiating trees and other debris, and I've been dealing with a chest cold, I hereby cancel the Christmas day paddle on Buffalo Bayou. If anyone else wants to do it anyway, feel free, but I'm out.
Hey, everyone! Want to have some fun, instead of Christmas dinner with the relatives? The trip calendar is all messed up, so I'm declaring a non-ACA, non-HCC, totally un-official Christmas Day Paddle on Buffalo Bayou. We'll meet up at the Woodway put-in. Exit 610 @ Woodway, go west a block or two, then make a u-turn. It's then on the right. (It may be muddy!) The paddle is about 9 miles, down to Allen's Landing. Be there at 8:30, more or less ready to run shuttle. Bring lunch and a Santa hat.

If anyone needs some miles to get their 100 Miler Award, feel free to post this as an official trip, should the trip calendar get straightened out.
