HCC will have a booth at the Finish Line of the Buffalo Bayou Regatta, in Sesquicentennial Park, 551 Preston St, Houston on March 11. Come out and volunteer to spread the word!
Terry Herdlicka will be staffing it - if you are interested in helping out, bring a camp chair, Maybe some drinks and an ice chest, sunscreen, and mosquito repellent. Send Terry a note if you are considering showing up. stardial2u@gmail.com
We will be sharing a canopy with Bruce Bodson and the Galveston BayKeeper organization. It will be a fantastic time to get better acquainted with Bruce and all the things the BayKeepers do.
Terry will be there starting about 7:30 AM. The Race doesn't start at the Voss and San Felipe location until 9:00 AM, and the festivities at the Finish Line don't officially start until 11 AM, but there should be plenty to do and see and help out before then. The festivities end around 2 or 2:30, and we can use some help taking down the canopy and cleaning up. It is always a grand time! Was it last year or the year before when it started pouring during the awards ceremony and we all got soaking wet? Fun times.
