Long-time friend of the Houston Canoe Club Louis Aulbach is noted both as an author of West Texas river guides and as a historian of Buffalo Bayou. You may remember the programs he has presented at our monthly meetings. Now, as part of a fundraiser to offset the disruption caused by the coronavirus pandemic, the Houston Archaeological Society is offering a set of Louis Aulbach's six guidebooks to paddling the rivers of West Texas, including the Pecos, the Devils and the Rio Grande, plus his hiking guide to the Big Bend Ranch State Park, for auction on Ebay.
